Personal Experience & Biography

Julia believes that granting ourselves permission to acknowledge and embrace our emotions serves as the initial step towards fostering change and healing. Additionally, she is a strong proponent of therapy being inclusive and accessible to everyone. Whether you find yourself struggling with burnout, overwhelm, sadness, frustration, anxiety, stress, hurt, a sense of loss, or confusion, know that you are not navigating these challenges alone. Julia aims to cultivate a space that radiates warmth and acceptance, where you feel truly heard, validated, and safe. Together, she embarks on a journey with her clients to honor their authenticity and uncover pathways to empowerment, leading to a life enriched with meaning. Her passion lies in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, and she firmly believes in the individuality of each person. Julia advocates for therapy that is customized to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each client. She wholeheartedly affirms that recovery is attainable, hope is on the horizon, and healing is possible. She eagerly anticipates the opportunity to join you on your journey towards growth and transformation.

Julia has experience as a mentor and tech in both residential and inpatient settings and has conducted research at an undergraduate and master’s level at UVU. Julia is currently finishing her master’s degree in Utah Valley University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Julia uses an integrated approach that pulls from Common Factors Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), multicultural counseling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play therapy, and expressive arts therapy.
